Would Mr Rahul Bose, Ms Teesta demand the forgiveness for culprit if the victim could have been someone from their own family or themselves?

Posted by संदीप नारायण शेळके on March 10, 2013

So in my opinion, its immoral, insane and illegal of me to demand forgiveness for someone who inflicted such wounds on others.

I read here that Rahul Bose wants a chance to reform the rape accused. Certainly, the opportunity is always there for all convicted since court doesn’t direct to kill them (mostly, very rarely somebody gets death term) instead sends them to jail for some term so that they can reform themselves. Isn’t it?

But even before court has announced its decision you want to reform an accused? So the matter which is sub-judicial aren’t the citizens supposed to wait till result before they make any claims/suggestions.

Moreover that the saintly behavior can’t save the world from criminals, surely it has the potential but not unless somebody wants it. Let the convicted or accused (?) ask for the rehabilitation or second chance what are you jumping the gun. Isn’t the person responsible for his/her actions? Why should society bear cost for the such saintly deeds? Why my sister/mother/daughter/wife feel insecure due to rapists or criminals in society?

The forgiveness which our culture talks is misunderstood. The forgiveness can happen only at personal levels, and certainly not at social or national level. It’s the victim and their families choice to forgive or not. Why someone like Rahul Bose or me should demand pardon for the crime against someone else?

Would Mr Rahul Bose and Ms Teesta demand the forgiveness if the victim could have been someone from their own family or  themselves? (I pray to god that they should never become victims, even if I don’t agree to their views.)

Culprit be given Right to reform, really?

Jay Bharat!

Urgent fund raising request: Rs. 2 lakhs needed for Sone Ki Chidiya movement

Posted by संदीप नारायण शेळके on March 10, 2013

Date of fund raising request: 06 March 2013

Purpose: To request small contributions to Freedom Team of India (FTI) to support Sone Ki Chidiya, India’s total reform movement .

FTI, founded in July 2009, is a forum for policy, strategy, and leadership development, focused on the defence of life and liberty in India. Its members will lead India, through elections, to unprecedented prosperity.

Soné Ki Chidiya (SKC) was launched as a concept for a new reform movement on 26 January 2013 by a few well-meaning individuals.

The purpose of SKC is to deliver good governance to India, so we can put the era of corruption and injustice behind us and start achieving our potential. Sone Ki Chidiya is what India was in the past. And what it will be in the future.

Initial work to conceptualise this movement is being done by a few interested individuals including by FTI. SKC is a broad-based movement for everyone in India. Its platform is available to everyone who wants liberty and good governance in India, based broadly on a draft vision.

Why this urgent need to raise funds?

These funds will be used to add to SKC awareness-building efforts currently underway, in preparation of the National Reform Summit in early April 2013.

Your small contribution will help us reach out as widely as possible. Suggested minimum contribution of Rs.5,000 but smaller contributions will also be accepted. Please contribute generously.

How to donate to FTI:

i) Only Indian citizens are eligible to contribute to FTI, and all contributions will need to be made in Indian rupees electronically into FTI’s bank account.

‘सोने कि चिडिया’ आंदोलन – विकसित आणि स्वयंपूर्ण देश घडविण्यासाठी (FTI initiative)

Posted by संदीप नारायण शेळके on February 12, 2013

Uddhav Thakare, please work for empowerment, freedom, opportunity.

This is really sickness. They start demanding freebies whenever there is any disaster. But no contingency plan. No plan in place to empower farmers, to make them self dependent.

Lets stop this non sense once. Uddhav Thakare, I don’t support such naive demands. Every time demanding waivers, subsidies sound like beggar than self-respecting human. Where are the real demands for freedom, freedom of expression, freedom of movement, equal opportunity etc..

My Inspiration

Posted by संदीप नारायण शेळके on January 9, 2013

“Kautiliya Arthashastra” – government should collect the tax from citizens the way honey-bee gather honey from flowers.

Chanakya – The king’s worship is well-being of his citizens and not that of god

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj – He guided his soldiers and administrators not to touch even a leaf of farm produce of the farmers of his kingdom.

Mahatma Gandhi – Improve rural economy to improve national economy.

Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar – Freedom, Equality and Fraternity are foundations of society.

Thomas Jefferson – Free press. This is one of very important tenets of liberal government.

John Locke – I learned the role of civil society in resolving conflicts with the help of government.

True Freedom – Gurudev Rabindranath

Posted by संदीप नारायण शेळके on October 20, 2012

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high;

Where knowledge is free;

Where the world has not been broken up into fragments by narrow domestic walls;

Where words come out from the depth of truth;

Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection;

Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way into the dreary desert sand of dead habit;

Where the mind is led forward by thee into ever-widening thought and action—

Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.

- Rabindranath Tagore (Gitanjali)

I support Annaji’s Freedom of expression

Posted by संदीप नारायण शेळके on August 16, 2011

This post is micro post.

I support Anna Hazareji’s freedom of expression with whole heart.

We must not let this Congress government snatch our freedom. We must stand up and be counted. Show your support to Anna in every possible way. Today is D-day. In 1974 it was JP who fought the freedom struggle against Indira Gandhi; today we have to fight against Sonia Gandhi and Manmohan Singh. This incidence proves that we need leaders, like Anna, of caliber who can stand against all odds.

Anna I support your freedom of expression.

Jai Bharat!
