पाण्याचा दुख:काळ का पडतो? तुटवडा का निर्माण होतो?

ह्या प्रश्नावर मी गेली कित्येक दिवस विचार करीत आहे. आणि त्यातून मला समजलेली काही कारणे. निश्चितच मी इथे जी करणे नमूद केली आहेत त्यामध्ये अजून सुधारणा होऊ शकतात.

गैरवापर:

• बेहिशोबी आणि बेजबाबदार पिक व्यवस्थापन

• नदी पात्रांमधील, ओढे-नाल्यावरील अतिक्रमण

• बेसुमार वाळू उपसा आणि तस्करी.

• अवैध जंगलतोड

• वाढते प्रदूषण

• बंधारे आणि जलाशयांचा बेसुमार आणि अनिर्बंध वापर

• जमिनीखालील पाण्याचा बेसुमार उपसा

नियोजनाचा अभाव:

• पावसाच्या पाण्याचे ढिसाळ नियोजन आणि संधारणाविषयीची उदासीनता

• शेतामधील नष्ट होणारे बांध आणि त्यामुळे नाश पावणारी वनराई

• सुमार वृक्ष लागवड व संवर्धनाच्या नावाने असणारी बोम्ब

• अनियमित आणि अनिर्बंध शहरीकरण

• वाढत्या कुपनलिका/ट्यूबवेल/बोअरवेल

दुर्लक्ष:

• पाण्याच्या वाहतुकीमध्ये होणारी गळती

• दुषित पाणी, मल विना प्रक्रिया नैसर्गिक स्रोतांमध्ये सोडणे

• मोठाले धरणं बांधून पाण्याच्या जाणीवपूर्वक वापराकडे होत असलेले दुर्लक्ष

• सूक्ष्म आणि मध्यम जलाशयांकडे होत असलेले अघोरी दुर्लक्ष

• जमिनीखालील पाण्याची पातळी वाढविण्याकडे होत असलेले दुर्लक्ष

परंतु अजून खोल विचार केल्यावर लक्षात आले कि हि तर फक्त लक्षणं आहेत खरे कारण तर “नेत्तृत्त्वाचा अभाव आणि स्वधर्माचा पडलेला विसर” आहे.

Would Mr Rahul Bose, Ms Teesta demand the forgiveness for culprit if the victim could have been someone from their own family or themselves?

So in my opinion, its immoral, insane and illegal of me to demand forgiveness for someone who inflicted such wounds on others.

I read here that Rahul Bose wants a chance to reform the rape accused. Certainly, the opportunity is always there for all convicted since court doesn’t direct to kill them (mostly, very rarely somebody gets death term) instead sends them to jail for some term so that they can reform themselves. Isn’t it?

But even before court has announced its decision you want to reform an accused? So the matter which is sub-judicial aren’t the citizens supposed to wait till result before they make any claims/suggestions.

Moreover that the saintly behavior can’t save the world from criminals, surely it has the potential but not unless somebody wants it. Let the convicted or accused (?) ask for the rehabilitation or second chance what are you jumping the gun. Isn’t the person responsible for his/her actions? Why should society bear cost for the such saintly deeds? Why my sister/mother/daughter/wife feel insecure due to rapists or criminals in society?

The forgiveness which our culture talks is misunderstood. The forgiveness can happen only at personal levels, and certainly not at social or national level. It’s the victim and their families choice to forgive or not. Why someone like Rahul Bose or me should demand pardon for the crime against someone else?

Would Mr Rahul Bose and Ms Teesta demand the forgiveness if the victim could have been someone from their own family or  themselves? (I pray to god that they should never become victims, even if I don’t agree to their views.)

Culprit be given Right to reform, really?

नेहमीची येतो दुष्काळ (Draught is routine)

“नेहमीची येतो पावसाळा” तसे आता “नेहमीची येतो दुष्काळ” असे म्हणायची वेळ आली आहे.

दर ३-४ वर्षांनी एक लहानसा दुष्काळ आणि दर १०-१२ वर्षांनी एक भयावह दुष्काळ, हे असे दुष्टचक्र प्रस्थापित होत आहे. बरं, अशा वेळी सरकार, विरोधक अथवा अन्य कोणाला दोष देऊन उपयोग होत नाही. कारण पाण्याची कमतरता भरून काढणे खिशातून नोटा काढण्याएवढे सोपे नाही. अर्थातच सरकारी दूरदृष्टीचा आणि आत्मीयतेचा अभाव हि गंभीर बाब आहे. परंतु ह्यामध्ये जनतेची, म्हणजेच आपली, काहीच चूक नाही का?

सोपे उदाहरण घ्या,

पूर्वी प्रत्येक शेताला मोठाल्या ताली घातलेल्या असायच्या. आता कुठे आहेत. १ फुटाचा बांध सुद्धा नको वाटतो. अजून बघायचे झाले तर बांधावरील झाडे. संपूर्णपणे गायब झाले आहेत. का? का तर त्यामुळे शेतात ओसावा पडतो. किती क्षेत्र? अगदी नगण्य असे. परंतु असा दुष्काळ पडल्यावर किती क्षेत्र रिकामे पडते? गावांची अवस्था मसनवटयापेक्षा भयानक आहे. रस्त्याच्या कडेला झाडे नाहीत, त्यामुळे पावसाने पडणारे पाणी वाहून तर जातेच पण सोबतच मातीही जाते. शेतांची अवस्था काही वेगळी नाही.

बरं आमच्यासारखा काही बोलला तर त्याला सरळ सुनावले जाते “तुम्हाला काय कळते त्यातले. आमचे अवघे आयुष्य गेले ह्याच्यात. पावसापुढे कोणाचे काही चालत नाही. सरकारने धरणाचे पाणी दिले पाहिजे.”

ह्या सगळ्या प्रश्नांना एकच उत्तर आहे:
प्रत्येक नागरिकाला स्वतःच्या जबाबदारीची जाणीव व्हायला पाहिजे.

सरकारने नक्कीच सकारात्मक भूमिका घ्यायला पाहिजे परंतु नागरिकांचा त्याला प्रतिसाद खूप महत्त्वाचा आहे.

Uddhav Thakare, please work for empowerment, freedom, opportunity.

This is really sickness. They start demanding freebies whenever there is any disaster. But no contingency plan. No plan in place to empower farmers, to make them self dependent.

Lets stop this non sense once. Uddhav Thakare, I don’t support such naive demands. Every time demanding waivers, subsidies sound like beggar than self-respecting human. Where are the real demands for freedom, freedom of expression, freedom of movement, equal opportunity etc..

I support ‘VISHWAROOPAM’ movie’s uncut release. PERIOD.

I’ve not seen the movie ‘Vishwaroopam. But, I support the freedom of expression, peaceful, for all; that doesn’t mean I agree with what one says/does. Everybody is solely responsible for their acts.

Even if anybody creating art in bad taste, the viewer has the choice of ignoring it. That’s what is the meaning tolerance, which this land has protected for hundreds of years. Now we need to increase the liberty to atain the lost prosperity and freedom.

Say no to state terrorism.

Disgusting to see that an artist, like Kamal Hasan, being forced to leave the country. Are we really progressing? Do we really understand freedom of expression? Who are these thugs, goons to oppress any creative work/thought?

This is the land which gave birth an art like ‘Kamasutra’. This is the land which saw birth over a half a dozen religions.

Dr. Ambedkar rendered a constitution which ensures freedom of speech, expression and profession to every citizen irrespective of gender, creed, religion. And the intolerant fascist forces, which are really very few but united, are attempting to topple the very constitution itself. That is a challenge to sovereignty of this nation and to me it’s no lesser than an emergency. If some thugs are challenging the creative art by violent protests then police should arrest them, and courts should deliver the justice. But they all right to protest, peacefully, at designated public places while making sure not creating nuisance, disturbance to others.

I thought courts are here to upheld the constitution but they seem to have forgotten their job. What role does any court has in liaising? They have to deliver justice and that’s it. No moral policing at all.

But certainly leaving the nation isn’t a solution. Since, he is also part of this nation and should fight back.

Few are angry about birds, making more angry birds

Birds: In college student’s world ‘bird watching’ is favourite pass time. So all those who attended college know what are ‘birds’ and where to go them watching.

Jokes apart, but those very women are threatened in this modern world by certain maniacs, and cowards; and we have to fight it out by strengthening women’s hands to counter the physical and mental assault on them. We have assure them our support and all the help needed and it has to start from our own family.

So here are some male counterparts who are angry about these ‘birds‘ and want to clip off their wings, which is rendering more angry birds:

• Some asking them to forbid certain dressing sense
• Some demanding restriction to their movement
• Some even want to them to give up mobile phones
• some go to extent of threatening them if they are seen with male friend/colleague
• Some want them to make brothers from offenders while chanting mantras to save their dignity
• Some feel they are given unnecessary freedom
• Some believe their existence is for remaining within the four walls

Why these people are angry about their own people, without whom this society wouldn’t even exist?

I think of following are the reasons for the anger and opposition to them from male counterparts:

1. Their growing strength
2. Their increasing influence in all matters
3. Their demand for equality
4. Their changing attitude towards counterparts
5. Their increased self-respect and self-esteem

All power to them, girls/women. I support their freedom of expression, movement, and profession. Its their rights, human rights, to live the way they want, with accountability for their actions.

Constitution of Bharat has enshrined these are rights and no one can take it away or be allowed to.

Here, I pledge to help make girls in my family capable of self defence and finance.

पंतप्रधानांसाठी जाहीर पत्र (रक्षकच बनले भक्षक)

मा. पंतप्रधान महोदय,

गेल्या काही वर्षांमधील घटना आणि त्यावर तुमच्या सरकारच्या आणि परिणामी तुमच्या प्रतिक्रिया पाहिल्यावर असे दिसते कि तुम्हाला तुमच्या कामाचा विसर पडला आहे. त्या मुलभूत कामांची तुम्हाला आठवण करून देण्यासाठी, हा खटाटोप.

तुम्हाला ठरवून दिलेली मुख्य कामे:
१. नागरिकांचे व्यक्ती, संचार आणि व्यवसाय स्वातंत्र्य अबाधित राखणे
२. सर्वांना समान न्याय मिळवून देणे
३. अंतर्गत आणि बाह्य शत्रुंपासून जीवन आणि मालमत्तेची सुरक्षा करणे
४. समान संधी (त्यासाठी पायाभूत सुविधांचा विकास) मिळवून देणे
ह्यासोबतच, प्रत्येक पै-न-पै चा हिशेब देणे आणि विचारलेल्या प्रश्नांची उत्तरे देणे.

वर ठरवून दिलेली कामे इमाने-इतबारे करण्याची शपथ घेतलेली असताना, खेदाची गोष्ट म्हणजे, तुम्ही ह्यातील एकही गोष्ट देऊ/पाळू शकला नाहीत. ह्याची नमुनादाखल खाली काही उदाहरणे दिली आहेत. क्रमशः

१. मागे एका व्यंग चित्रकाराने चित्र काढले म्हणून तुमच्याच कुठल्यातरी नियमानुसार त्याला अटक केली, अटक करणाऱ्यांवर काहीच कारवाई नाही.
२. महाराष्ट्र आणि आसाम मध्ये दुसऱ्या राज्यांमधून आलेल्या नागरिकांच्या जीवन आणि मालमत्तेचे नुकसान झाले, कोणावर काहीच कारवाई नाही.
३. समान न्याय दूरच राहिला परंतु देशाची संपत्ती लुटून भ्रष्टाचार करणाऱ्या तुमच्याच सहकाऱ्यांना साधे निलंबित सुद्धा केले नाही.
४. राजधानी सहित संपूर्ण देशभरात महिलांवरील अत्याचार, लुटमार आदींची परिसीमा झालेली असताना तुमच्याकडून काय पाऊल उचलले गेले? काहीच नाही याउलट, नको त्या विषयांवरून तुमच्या सहकाऱ्यांनी प्रसार माध्यमांमधून गदारोळ उठवून देशात अशांतंता निर्माण करण्याचे प्रयत्न केले.
५. सीमारेषा ओलांडून येउन काही दहशतवाद्यांनी देशाला वेठीस धरले, तुम्ही काय केले? तर त्या देशासोबत क्रिकेटच्या माध्यमातून चर्चा वाढवली.
६. एवढेच नाही तर त्या देशाने आपल्या सैनिकांना शांतंता रेषेजवळ अमानवीय रीतीने छळ करून मारले आणि एका सैनिकाचे शीर पळविले. तुमच्या सहकाऱ्यांनी देशप्रेमाच्या नावाखाली अतिरेक करू नका असे आम्हालाच सुनावले. एवढ्यावर न थांबता देशाला विरोधी पक्षापासून जास्त धोका आहे असे जाहीर प्रकटन करायला सुरुवात केली.
७. अशा परिस्थितीमध्ये गृहमंत्र्यांनी देशाची चिंता करायची सोडून बेछूट आणि बिन-बुडाचे युक्तिवाद सुरु केले कि ‘हिंदू दहशतवाद’ फोफावला आहे. खरच का? तसे असते तर ८०% हिंदू जनतेने जगभर हाहाकार माजवला असता. जगातील सर्वात सृजनशील आणि सहिष्णू समाजालाच दुषणे लावायला सुरुवात केली.
८. आम्हाला ग्रामीण भागात पिण्याच्या पाण्याची भ्रांत असताना काही शहरांमधून पाण्याचा भल्या मोठ्या प्रमाणावर अपव्यय होताना दिसतो. तुम्ही काय पाऊले उचलली?
९. सर्वसाधारण गरीब जनतेला दर्जेदार शिक्षण आणि आरोग्य सुविधा उपलब्ध नाहीत. तुम्ही काय केले? प्रत्येक वेळी एक नवीन योजना काढून भ्रष्टाचाराचे कुरण तयार केले. आणि नंतर रीतसरपणे विसरून जाता किंवा दुर्लक्ष करता.
१०. तुम्हाला जर कोणी प्रश्न विचारला, हिशोब मागितला तर तुम्ही आम्हाला अटक करता नाही तर आयकर विभागाकडून तपासाचा ससेमिरा नाहक मागे लावता. असे डूख धरून सूड बुद्धीने काम करायला आणि भाऊ-बंधकी निभवायला तुमची निवड केलीय का?
११. एका वकिलाने सर्वोच्च न्यायालयात सरकारच्या विरोधी बाजू घेतली; म्हणून, तुमच्याच कोण्या एका सहकाऱ्याने पोलिसांकडून त्या वकिलाच्या भावाला शनिवारी मध्यरात्री अटक केली आणि तुरुंगात बेदम मारहाण केली.

एवढे सगळे झाल्यावर, इतक्या सगळ्या चुका केल्यावर तुम्हाला हे काम करण्याची अजूनही संधी का द्यावी? संविधान आणि नागरिकाच्या सार्वभौमत्त्वाचा अनादर केला म्हणून तुमच्यावर अविश्वास ठराव का ठेवू नये?

आणि हो हे पत्र वाचल्यावर हा कोण, मला माझे काम सांगणारा? असा विचार चुकुनही करू नका कारण, मी, तुमचा मालक, ह्या देशाचा सार्वभौम नागरिक आहे.

Rape, a social issue? No! Its government failure.

In 1971 rape cases were 2,487 and those in 2011 were 24,206. Population of Bharat in 1971 was 54,81,60,050(54.81 Crores) and in 2011 was 1,21,01,93,422 (121.01 Crores).

i.e. 0.0004537% women were rape victims in 1971 which means there was average 1 rape victim in 2,48,600 people. Which has grown to 0.002000176% women in 2011 means on an average 1 rape victim in 50000. A jump in rape crime by 5 times in 4 decades.

What the hell is happening? Where are we heading?

Why this society is deteriorating (I don’t think my society is deteriorating but few media divas feel so)?

I think it’s the governance failure. I think the law machinery isn’t natural, its biased. Takes hell lot of time to deliver justice and in process leaves victim to face the heat while accused is on bail.

It’s the government and leadership failure. Law punishes drunken driving convict with 2 years imprisonment (while s/he can kill people on road). But punished the non-licensed (?)  liquor drinker with 7 years imprisonment (For drinking illegally, which is certainly less dangerous and drunken driving).

That’s the problem I’m talking about. We need to get rid of this governance failure and for sure rest of the things would fall in line. To achieve better and lean governance lets come together. http://freedomteam.in is the platform for those who can catalyse this change i.e. establish liberty.

स्वदेशीच्या सर्व कार्यकर्त्यांना आणि समर्थकांना एक विनम्र आवाहन

मला स्वदेशी चळवळीतील सर्व कार्यकर्ते आणि समर्थकांना एक विनम्र आवाहन करायचे आहे. आता वेळ आली आहे कि हा लढा केवळ भावनिक न राहता खुल्या बाजारात (श्रेष्ठ दर्जा आणि वाजवी दर असलेला माल) स्पर्धात्मक आव्हानाच्या रूपाने उभा करावा. कारण केवळ भावनात्मक आवाहन स्वदेशाच्या भरभराटीस चालना देण्याऐवजी चळवळीच्या अस्तित्त्वावरच संकट निर्माण करू शकते. भावना ना तर आर्थिक घडामोडींची जागा घेऊ शकतात नाही मुलभूत गरजा भागवू शकत त्या केवळ आपले लक्ष विचलित करू शकतात. एवढेच नाही तर स्वदेशी चळवळीचा उद्देश हा परकीय मालाला विरोध नाही तर स्वदेशी मालाची विक्री आणि व्यवसाय वाढविणे हाच अपेक्षित आहे.

जर स्वदेशी माल श्रेष्ठ दर्जाचा आणि वाजवी किंमतीचा असेल  तर मला स्वतःला देखील स्वदेशी माल खरेदी कायला आवडेल. मुळातच उच्च दर्जाची आणि वाजवी किमतीची कुठलीही वस्तू विकत घेणे अथवा निवडणे हा ग्राहकाचा मुलभूत अधिकार आहे. आणि त्यातच भारतीय ग्राहक चोखंदळ आहे हे काही वेगळे सांगायला नको. म्हणून, जर चार पैसे वाचणार असतील ते वाचवावेत ह्या मताचा मी आहे. स्वदेशी माल जर गुणात्मक दृष्ट्या चांगला आणि तोडीस तोड स्पर्धा करणारा असेल तर तो परदेशी मालापेक्षा जास्त यशस्वी होईल कारण त्यावेळी अशा मालाला एक वैशिष्ठ्य असेल ते म्हणजे तो “स्वदेशी” आहे. आणि हे साध्य करायचे असेल तर चाणक्यांनी जवळपास २४०० वर्षांपूर्वी सांगितलेले मुक्त बाजाराचे आणि आर्थिक विचारांची शिदोरी यथायोग्य वापरणे क्रमप्राप्त आहे.

पतंजली आयुर्वेद ह्या संस्थेने स्वदेशी मालाचा नुसताच भावनिक मुद्दा ना करता वाजवी दराची गुणात्मक उत्पादनांची निर्मिती करून स्वदेशी मालाला प्रोत्साहन दिले. आणि ह्यामुळेच त्यांनी देशातील आणि विदेशातील मोठ्या संस्थांना एक आव्हान उभे केले आहे. परंतु ह्याच वेळी चाणक्यांनी वेळोवेळी प्रतिपादित केली गोष्ट म्हणजे “नफा वाईट नसतो” ह्याचा विसर पडता कामा नये. अन्यथा कुठलाच आर्थिक उपक्रम दीर्घ काळ टिकणार नाही हे त्रिकालाबाधित सत्य आहे.
केवळ निष्क्रिय विरोध आपल्याला उत्कर्षाकडे घेऊन न जाता स्वयं ऱ्हास आणि तिसरे-जग हा दर्जा अखंड ठेवायला मदतच होईल. आणि मला वाटते कि स्वदेशी चळवळीचा असा उद्देश्य नक्कीच नाही, बरोबर? आपल्याला भरभराट, पूरक संधी आणि योग्य स्पर्धा ह्यांची निकडीची आवश्यकता आहे जेणेकरून आपण हे सिद्ध करू शकू कि आमच्या पूर्वजांनी जे वैभव कमावले होते ते आम्ही परत मिळवू शकतो.

होय मला खात्री आहे कि आपण पुन्हा एकदा जगातील सर्वात कार्यक्षम आणि श्रीमंत देश हे बिरुद मिरवू शकतो फक्त आपल्याला जे ज्ञान वंशपरंपरेने प्राप्त आहे ते स्वीकारण्याची आणि वापरण्याची आवश्यकता आहे. आपल्याला चाणक्यांनी जे धोरणं वापरली तेच धोरणं आधुनिक युगाशी जुळवत स्वीकारायचे आहेत. चाणक्यांच्या ह्याच सुत्रांमुळे इतिहासातील बलाढ्य, बलशाली आणि संपन्न भारताची स्थापना शक्य झाली होती. त्याचाच परिणाम म्हणून १७व्या शतकापर्यंत जगातील एकूण उत्पन्नाच्या २५% वाटा हा भारताचा होता. आणि आज आपला वाटा केवळ ५% इतका उरला आहे. आपणाला गेल्या ४-५ शतकांमध्ये ज्या समाजवाद नावाच्या अशास्त्रीय आणि निसर्ग विरोधी रोगाची लागण झाली आहे त्यापासून मुक्त होणे आत्यावश्यक आहे.

Appeal to Activists of Swadeshi Movement – Bharat

मराठी मध्ये वाचा

I would appeal to all supporters and activists of “Buy Swadeshi Movement” to take this fight to market and raise challenge through competition (with better quality and cost-effective products) instead of making emotional appeal. Since, emotive appeals wont lead Swadesh to prosperity instead that will be counter-effective for this very important movement. Emotions cant substitute economic activity or prosperity neither it can replace the basic needs, it would at the most distract the movement.

I would love to buy and promote Swadeshi products if an only if it is value for my money and is better in quality than any other product or at least is competitive enough. Then I think such enterprise and their products will become more successful compared any non-deshi company and their products since there will be the USP to it i.e. its ‘Swadeshi’. And lets pledge that we would be loyal to the concepts of economy that our Chanakya left for us about 2400 years ago.

The path that Patanjali Ayurved chose to promote Swadeshi is very inspiring. The way it has captured the imagination of country and became one of the big competitors for all MNCs in consumer daily products segment (MNC isn’t just a foreign company there are ‘Swadeshi’ too). But we need to remember that profits are not bad and has to be earned to promote any activity sustainably.

This passive opposition would lead us nowhere bust just to self decimation and continued third-world status. And certainly that’s not the goal of Swadeshi movement, right? We need prosperity, better opportunities, more competition to prove that we can bring back the glory that our ancestors had left for us. Yes we can become most productive and prosperous country of the world if we genuinely follow basic principles of economy presented by Chanakya with modern theories in mind. Chanakya’s economic sutras rendered a largest known and most prosperous Bharat. We were richest in the world till 17th century with 25% contribution to world economy. (GDP graph Courtesy: Visualizing Economics). Today our contribution to world GDP is just 5%. We need to free ourselves from the shackles of socialism since it has done more bad to us than any good.
